One asset browser for Houdini, Maya, 3ds Max and Blender

When you work across several applications, every asset library ends up organized its own way. AssetBrowser, the CGfield application, shows the same libraries in an identical panel inside Houdini, Maya, 3ds Max and Blender, and places the chosen asset in the open scene.

All your libraries in one place

Models, materials and HDRIs are browsed as thumbnails. You search by name, tag or catalog, filter by type, and keep assets in favorites and collections. Libraries converted by Everything show up with their materials already built.

Drag into the scene

An asset dragged from the panel into the scene arrives with its materials assigned: Karma, Arnold or V‑Ray in Houdini, V‑Ray or Arnold in Maya and 3ds Max, Cycles or EEVEE in Blender. A dragged HDRI becomes the lighting.

Poly Haven and ambientCG

AssetBrowser also browses the Poly Haven and ambientCG catalogs and downloads the chosen asset into your library.

One setting per application

The render engine and the mesh format are chosen per application in the AssetBrowser app; each panel only shows the assets delivered for that engine and format.

Getting started

Install the CGfield launcher with a free account, then AssetBrowser, and connect your applications from the app. In Houdini, the panel opens from Windows, then AssetBrowser; in Maya, from the AssetBrowser shelf. 64-bit Windows 10 and 11.
