General terms of use

If the languages differ, the French version of this page prevails.

Last updated: 15 August 2026

These terms govern the use of the CGfield launcher and of the applications in the suite. By installing the launcher or creating an account, you accept them.

1. Purpose

CGfield is a set of desktop applications intended for 3D production: they convert assets into USD (Universal Scene Description) components that can be used in production. They are distributed and updated through the CGfield launcher.

2. Free of charge

The launcher and Glb2USD remain free of charge, with no time limit. Everything, AssetBrowser and Animated are used free of charge within the monthly quota of the Découverte plan. The “Pro” and “Studio” plans are open for subscription and governed by the general terms and conditions of sale.

Glb2USD will remain free in its full version, including once paid plans exist: this commitment is deliberate and will not be reconsidered. The application has been merged into Everything and is no longer distributed separately; the commitment still applies to existing installations, which our servers serve with no export limit whatsoever.

The terms and conditions of sale that will govern those subscriptions are already published, so that they can be read before committing to anything. They are separate from these terms and will have to be accepted separately, at the time of subscription: accepting these terms therefore carries no commitment to buy.

3. Account

Creating an account is required in order to use the launcher. You undertake to provide a valid e-mail address and to keep your password confidential. Any action carried out from your account is deemed to originate from you.

An account is personal. The number of authorised workstations, identified by an opaque technical fingerprint, is stated on the Pricing page. Sharing an account beyond that number constitutes a breach of these terms.

4. Licence to use

The applications are not assigned to you: they are granted under a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use. The following are prohibited in particular: redistribution, resale, rental, decompilation outside the cases provided for by law, and circumvention of technical protection measures.

5. What you produce belongs to you

The files produced with the applications — USD components, layers, shading networks, converted textures — belong entirely to you. No right is claimed over them.

They are written in the USD format, an open standard: they remain readable by any compatible software, independently of CGfield. Your work therefore does not depend on the service continuing.

6. Your files do not leave your machine

Conversions run entirely locally, on your computer. No asset, no texture and no file name is transmitted to the publisher. The same applies to the trial offered on this site, which runs in your browser.

7. Term and account closure

You may stop using the service and request the deletion of your account at any time, by simple message to the contact address. Files already produced remain your property and remain usable.

The publisher may suspend access in the event of a serious breach of these terms, after a formal notice that has remained without effect for fifteen days, save in the event of a manifest infringement of third-party rights justifying immediate suspension.

8. Availability and changes

The service is provided as is, without any warranty that it will be free from interruption. The publisher implements reasonable means to keep it available; maintenance operations may be necessary.

The applications evolve: features may be added, modified or removed.

9. Legal warranties

Irrespective of these terms, you benefit, as a consumer, from the legal warranty of conformity (Articles L217-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and from the warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).

10. Liability

The publisher may not be held liable for indirect damages, in particular loss of data, loss of business or commercial harm. It is your responsibility to keep backups of your work.

No provision hereof has the effect of limiting the publisher’s liability in the event of gross negligence, willful misconduct or personal injury.

11. Personal data

The processing of your data is described in the privacy policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the competent courts; if you are a consumer, you retain the right to bring proceedings before the court of your place of residence.
